Possible causes

· Excessive preheating temperature of the substrate.
· Over rolling curing time of the coating.
· High coating viscosity with poor flow and leveling.
· Excessive spray air pressure.

Solution

· Reduce the preheating temperature.
· Strictly follow the rolling curing instructions.
· Shorten the rolling curing time or consult the technical department.
· Reduce the spraying air pressure.

Sagging

Possible causes

· Substrate preheating temperature is too low; material is too thin or uneven in thickness; spraying area is too large.
· Single-pass coating is too thick; coating flow rate is too high; spray distance is too short; poor atomization; spray gun traveling speed is too slow.
· Environmental factors: low temperature and high humidity.

Solution

· Slightly increase the substrate preheating temperature.
· Adjust the spray line speed, spray distance, and coating flow rate.
· Apply temperature-controlled drying to the spray line.

Shrinkage cavities

Possible causes

· The substrate surface has oil, dirt, or other contaminants.
· Coating rolling curing time is too short, resulting in incomplete curing.
· Air compressor malfunction causes moisture in the compressed air.
· Ambient humidity is too high.

Solution

· Perform substrate cleaning before spraying.
· Strictly follow the rolling curing instructions.
· Perform maintenance on the air compressor.
· Apply temperature-controlled drying to the spray line.
